The students are great, I am enjoying it. Except for when I made one of the kids cry today. This was less than awesome, apparently 3rd graders cry when they don’t understand borrowing in subtraction. So at least I have that going for me now. The new weekly goal is nobody cries all week!
We got the house today and we have most of our stuff moved in. But we are waiting in the temporary housing for our refrigerator, stove and laundry machine to get here. Once they arrive we are all set to be officially moved in. They told us to just go pick out appliances at Saga (the local Sears) and they will get them for us, no problem! Oh and did I mention that we can have furniture custom made. Good thing I brought the Pottery Barn catalog down here! We basically have to buy our own sheets and silverware. Everything else has been provided.
We are not heading to the coast until next weekend to scout out surf spots. We will let you know how the waves are soon. We did get the trainer kite up pretty easily, so we might be able to land kite here in an open area. (And by we, I mean Dan)
Here are some of the photos of the new house there is not much there yet, but I promise it will be together soon. So start thinking about visiting!
This a view from our study
These are our solar panels heating up our hot water tank. How friggin green are we??
This last one is a photo of Mt. Misti. It is a non active Volcano here in Arequipa that everyone is ubber proud of. This also happens to be what you see from our rooftop deck.
